The Purity Ceremony
Lots of churches and groups have a "Purity Ceremony".
For the most part, Purity ceremonies are condensed into a single event where a person indicates their desire to make a commitment to be pure until marriage.
In the past, we would also include an option for the church to also pledge to agree to pray for and support and encourage these students.
This year, we are focusing on the theme of "Strengthening Again in 2010".
We dont want to solely have a one time declaration of commitment and release the group to fend for themselves. We are choosing to strengthen not only the individual's commitment, but to strengthen their safeguards, their options and their relationships.
